Nepal, a fascinating Himalayan Kingdom, occupies
the largest part of the youngest mountain range on
earth. The towering Himalayan range extends 800km across
the country--a magnificent landscape stretching from
northern snow-capped mountains, eight of them rising
above 8000m, to the southern plains, less than 200m
above sea-level--all within a relatively short distance.
These sharp contrasts and diversity in the landscape and
climate made Nepal an enchanting destination, offering
opportunities to experience the mountain grandeur in the
north and exotic wildlife and subtropical vegetation in
the south.
Trekking is by far the most popular means of
seeing and understanding the country. Nepal’s natural
beauty has enraptured many a tourist who returns each
year to embark on a new trek. The spectacular mountain
views, the enchanting little villages strewn all over
the hills, the lush green terraced rice fields, the
gentle smiling people and the rich variety of their
culture is indeed endearing. A trek can be of a few days
or may stretch to three weeks. Options there are many:
teahouse (lodge) treks or camping out on tents. The most
popular treks are in the Annapurna and Everest regions,
which are consequently also the most developed in terms
of tourist facilities. The trek can include the base
camp to one of these mountains. A popular alternative
destination is the Langtang region with the Gosaikunda
lake which is a pilgrimage site for Hindus.
We invite
all lovers of nature, adventurers, trekkers, climbers,
bird watchers and wild life viewers to join in our trips
for the adventure of a lifetime!
These treks are through popular and
well-travelled areas. The tea houses are usually small
basic lodges offering accommodation and food for
travellers. We rely on these tea houses for food and
shelter and thus require minimal equipment. Our
experienced guides will select the best teahouse in the
villages, and if required, will go ahead to find shelter
in peak season. The tea houses are also a meeting point
for trekkers from various parts of the world. These
treks are economical, suitable for both youth and budget
tourists.
